What is Pulp Recycling’s new EN15713 Accreditation?

PULP has been providing a confidential shredding service in Ireland for the past 10 years. During this time we have expanded our service to a nationwide offering. We have been working extremely hard to improve and provide the best possible service to our customers. We are proud of the fact we have developed into the largest Irish owned shredding provider in the country. Customer satisfaction is our main aim and our service to all our customers is second to none. PULP can proudly announce that we have received our updated ISO 9001 Certificate for PULP incorporating the Secure Destruction of Confidential Material Accreditation:  EN15713.

PULP ISO 9001 Certificate

This is very important and we here at PULP are extremely proud as it is the only European Shredding Standard in existence.

A brief outline of the EN15713 standard is outlined below. In order to meet the standard, each confidential shredding company must meet the following requirements:

  • The company premises must be secure (e.g. CCTV cameras, monitored alarm adhering to EN 50131-1 etc.)
  • A written contract must exist between the customer and the service provider
  • Have all staff screened to the national standard. In Ireland’s case, it is IS:999
  • Material should only be transported in locked containers
  • All material must be destroyed within one working day of arriving at the shredding plant
  • All vehicles (those used for onsite shredding and offsite shredding) must be secure (i.e. GPS Tracked, lockable doors, alarm fitted etc.)
  • All material must be recycled where possible

This unique accreditation proves that PULP adheres to the highest class security procedures, vehicles and Plant. At PULP, we constantly look to set the bar for other providers to meet. In addition, all our staff have also been vetted by An Garda Siochana. This extra security measure is only open to PULP as we are a provider to An Garda Siochana.

Lastly, we are also proud to announce that we are now a member of the Irish Security Industry Association’s (ISIA) Data Destruction Division. We have joined this association in the hope of advancing the practices and procedures required from service providers in the Document Destruction industry. So in future when searching for a Confidential Shredding company, ask them if they:

  • Are certified to ISO 9001
  • Adhere to EN15713
  • Have their staff vetted by An Garda Siochana
  • and are members of the ISIA

…or better yet, just call us at PULP.

It’s quite simple, using a paper shredding service saves you money. Your old data is confidentially shredded, giving you security and peace of mind. Our recycling policy is good for the environment. Pulp Recycling is the shredding company for you.
