Pulp’s New Level 6 EN15713 Truck

New Pulp Truck

Pulp are extremely proud to announce the newest addition to our Fleet. The Shred Tech MDX-1 (the only one in Ireland) can shred to EN15713 Level 6. Pulp are currently the only Dublin based company who can offer such a service.

As discussed in our previous Blog, EN15713 is a standard which provides a framework of key conditions to be adhered to by companies who destroy confidential information on behalf of their customers; the security of this information being integral to this. Pulp being certified to EN 15713 certification means that we convey to our customers that we dispose of their confidential waste in a secure, controlled manner, with the process regulated by on-going external audits. As the EN 15713 covers several aspects which are integral to both service delivery and customer satisfaction, PULP has taken the decision to implement this standard in conjunction with our ISO 9001 Quality Management Standard.

The system includes a number of conditions such as specific sizes to shred to, and how the destruction is monitored and controlled, as well as the following core aspects:

  • Security screening of personnel ( Pulp Reps are all Garda Vetted as the exclusive Provider to an Garda Siochana nationwide)
  • Premises Security
  • How sensitive information is collected, retained and transferred
  • Security measures during destruction of materials
  • Management and control of confidential material destruction
  • Traceability of the destruction process

Pulp’s EN15713 certification is extremely relevant to companies and organisations who are or planning to dispose of highly confidential material securely and safely. There are a number of different levels which are applicable to EN15713. There are a lot of companies in Ireland who don’t comply and are not certified to EN15713 Level 3. Not only are Pulp Certified to level 3 on-site and level 4 off-site we are now offering our customers a Level 6 solution onsite also.

Level 3 – is the European Standard Level which most organisations suggest as a minimum level to adhere to (including the Irish Security Industry Association). It outlines that a maximum cutting width is 16 mm and an average surface area of ≤2800mm².

Level 6 – is the highest possible Level achievable within EN15713 using a mechanical shredder. It outlines that a maximum cutting width is 4mm and an average surface area of ≤320mm².

Pulp uses proprietary cross-cut technology which tears the edges of each shred, producing uneven fragments for even greater security. In addition, the millions of tiny paper fragments produced are then further mixed in the back of the shredding truck, ensuring it is in every practical sense impossible to reconstruct individual documents.

Our brand new fleet is state of the art as seen in picture. Call us today and see how this can benefit your organisation.

It’s quite simple, using a paper shredding service saves you money. Your old data is confidentially shredded, giving you security and peace of mind. Our recycling policy is good for the environment. Pulp Recycling is the shredding company for you.
